Leveraging ColdFusion's Java Foundation

Topic:
There's a significant amount of power hiding in the Java methods of native CF types. This presentation looks at how to use these methods to implement code easier and write better applications. The many classes available in the JDK for use in ColdFusion applications will be looked at as well. A focus will also be placed on what different CF functions actually do and caveats related to CF methods versus Java types. Demos include advanced array, struct query and string manipulation.

Bio:
Elliott is a Software Engineer for TeraTech, and currently develops and maintains all conference related software including the CFUnited, Frameworks Conference and CFUnited Europe websites and the CFUnited Scheduler. He's worked with a variety of programming languages and software systems and is a strong advocate of web standards and accessibility. He lives by the motto "Code well, code to standards, and above all.. code for fun."
