CFC's What are You Waiting For?

This presentation is for anyone who is still doing Legacy code who is thinking about moving to components, but is afraid or confused about how to do it. George’s discussion will deal with the advantages of moving to using ColdFusion Components to do your application development. This past year George was asked to redo the corporate web site for his new company Technology Management Services. He decided that this was a perfect opportunity to re-write the legacy CMS that he had been working with and use all ColdFusion Components. He will share that work with us along with some code that he helped put together which does password validation and generation using all CFC’s.

Bio:
George Murphy is currently a Senior ColdFusion developer for TMS. He has been involved with ColdFusion since version 4.5. Software development is a second career for George. He is the former director of ABC News Nightline with Ted Koppel. During the past 2 years George has made great strides in moving away from legacy code and jumping into programming with components all the time. It was a difficult transition but as with anything once you make up your mind that that is the direction you want to go in there is no turning back.
