Web Standards, Principles and Applications
|
Topic:
Web standards have been around a long time, however only in the past few years
have we seen a strong surge of applications that comply to the standards
put forth by the W3C. Often developers find great challenges when creating
websites that are cross browser compatible and follow best practice guidelines
such as Section 508.
The goals of this talk are:
1. Discuss creating standards compliant websites that utilize CSS and HTML to
their full extent.
2. Discuss common challenges faced with cross browser compatibility, and most often
Internet Explorer compatibility.
3. Discuss best practices when developing applications, and tips that Coldfusion
developers should be aware of.
4. Review resources that developers can utilize when developing standards
compliant applications.
